STEP BY STEP
The latest research information indicates that walking 10,000 steps a day meets the guidelines set by the American College of Sports Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for physical activity. Most individuals do somewhere between 3000 and 5000 steps a day, so they fall quite short of the 10,000 steps a day goal. Attaining this goal, however, does not necessarily require drastic lifestyle changes. This program encourages employees to gradually build the number of steps they take each day by using a pedometer to monitor progress.
